Participant Release
By participating in any events held by Skate Canada NL, the participant acknowledges and accepts the known and foreseeable physical risks inherent in the sport of figure skating. These risks include, but are not limited to: travel to and from the arena, ice conditions, equipment failure, falls, collisions with other participants and/or instructors, and facility conditions. By assuming these risks, the participant, their heirs, and any person acting on their behalf, forever release Skate Canada NL, its directors, employees, volunteers, coaches, officials, instructors, independent contractors, agents, and sponsors from any claims arising from illness, injury, or other loss resulting from participation.
Refund Policy
Refunds for programs offered by Skate Canada NL will be evaluated on an individual basis. Please review the specific refund policy associated with each program at the time of registration. A medical note may be required, and an administration fee may apply. All refund requests must be directed to the club at icscmarystown@hotmail.com.
Session Cancellations
Members will be notified of any session cancellations in a timely manner. However, in certain situations beyond our control, notice may be limited or provided on short notice.
Privacy Policy
Skate Canada NL is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information provided when visiting the Skate Canada NL website. All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Our website does not automatically collect personal information such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses. This information is only collected if you provide it voluntarily, for example, by sending an email or completing a registration form.
Any information submitted to the Skate Canada NL website, whether by email, feedback form, or other means, becomes the property of Skate Canada NL. We do not sell or distribute any personal information.
We may collect non-identifying data about website usage through standard web logs and feedback. This data is compiled in aggregate form and used solely for statistical analysis to help improve our content and services. It is only disclosed to third parties in a summarized, non-identifiable form.
Photo/Video Policy
Skate Canada NL may take photographs or videos of participants during programs. These images may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to: the Skate Canada NL website, Facebook page, Twitter account, local newspapers, or other marketing materials. The use of such media will be limited to these purposes.
Skater Expectations / Code of Conduct
All participants in Skate Canada NL programs are expected to:

Participate in all scheduled activities

Keep skating areas and dressing rooms clean and tidy

Show respect for fellow skaters, instructors, and program staff

Refrain from vandalizing arena property or equipment belonging to Skate Canada NL or other skaters

Wear appropriate attire for all sessions

Behave respectfully and responsibly at all times
Failure to comply with the above expectations may result in immediate dismissal from the program at the participant’s own expense. No refund will be provided, and participation in future Skate Canada NL programs may be denied.
